The Context

After launching Looney Tunes on TikTok, we hit 1M followers in just 150 days with $0 in paid support and picked up a Clio, 3 Shortys, an OMMA, and a shortlist at The One Show along the way. That momentum set the stage for a social takeover on April Fools Day that coincided with another important milestone.

The Challenge

Warner Bros. had 100 years of iconic titles and characters to celebrate. But how do you make a century of entertainment feel fresh on a social feed, especially on April Fools when every brand is trying to get in on the joke?

The Insight

Looney Tunes’ timeless comedy can make anything feel new again.

Put their characters into a familiar world and, suddenly, you see that world differently. Their anarchic sense of humor and instantly recognizable voices made them the perfect accomplices for an April Fools stunt paying homage to classic film and television.

The Strategy

Turn the WB100 anniversary into a marathon social takeover with Looney Tunes as our guides through the Warner Bros. archive. Instead of treating the library like a museum, we turned it into their playground. One iconic title, one Looney twist, every 30 minutes.

The Execution

ACME FOOLS

For 12 hours on April Fools, we let Bugs, Lola, and the gang loose in the Warner Bros. film vault.

We pulled clips from 23 iconic titles, including The Matrix, Casablanca, The Notebook, Mortal Kombat, Rush Hour, Scooby-Doo and The Lord of the Rings, and Looney-fied them.

Emmy-winning voice actors Eric Bauza (Bugs Bunny, Tweety, and many of your other faves) and Chandni Parekh (Lola Bunny) re-recorded the original dialogue in the voices of Looney Tunes characters.

We flooded social with the newly dubbed legacy videos, dropping a new clip every 30 minutes.

To maximize reach, we orchestrated a symphony across the Warner Bros. social ecosystem, co-authoring posts with the franchises we parodied and turning each individual drop into part of one coordinated takeover that built to a crescendo of comments and industry headlines.
